MOLLY SHAFFER 1916 2006 Molly passed away peacefully on Sunday, the 29th of October 2006. She was 90 years old. Molly was born to parents Clara Sally and Aaron. She is the proud mother of Ian and Marvin; mother-in-law to Reeva and Shelly; grandmother to Kevin, Corinne, Craig, Kerri, Blake and Jodi; great-grandmother to Garrett, Sidney, Zachary and Averie. Molly was a very strong and proud woman. She always knew and wanted the best for everyone around her. She had a great eye for art, was a wonderful cook, and a life master in bridge. Molly lived almost her entire life in Winnipeg. She was surrounded by a large family and lifelong friendships, many of which started as a child. She always put her friends and family before herself. She was a very kind and generous woman. Molly leaves us now, and we will all miss her very much, but there is comfort in knowing that she can now be together again with her husband of 60 years, and love of her life, Saul. Funeral services will take place at the Shaarey Zedek Cemetary on Armstrong Avenue and Main Street across from Kildonan Park on Wednesday, November 1st at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the Molly and Saul Shaffer Fund at the Jewish Foundation of Manitoba by phoning 204-477-7520.
