ANN SHIPP Peacefully with family at her side, Ann Shipp passed away on October 29, 2006 at Fred Douglas Lodge. Remembering her with love are her children Violet (Werner) Spalleck, Linda (Steve) Horodecki, Louise, Sharon, Irene, Judy, Arnold (Darlene) and Shirley (Guy) Genereux; grandchildren Bryan, Stephen, Gene (Michelle), Cindy (Jon) Bola, Eric and Casey; and, twin great granddaughters Sienna and Chaira Horodecki. Also mourning her loss are her sister Jean Skuba of Broad Valley, Manitoba and numerous family members and friends. Ann was predeceased by her husband Bill in 1999. Ann was born in Fisherton, Manitoba in 1922 and settled in Broad Valley a few years after marriage. She was an energetic and devoted wife and mother with a life-long love of gardening, having the ability to make anything grow. We tremendously enjoyed her numerous culinary specialties and thought her cabbage rolls were simply the best. Later mom and dad moved to Winnipeg and enjoyed socializing and volunteering with a large circle of friends within the Ukrainian community. They traveled to Vancouver and other locales, and particularly enjoyed mid-winter trips to Cuba. We would like to extend sincere thanks and appreciation to the staff of Fred Douglas Lodge for their excellent care of our mother. A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 3, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home with interment and reception to follow. Arrangements entrusted to: Glen Eden Funeral Home 4477 Main St. 338-7111
