GREG LEONARD SMIDT Suddenly on Saturday, October 28, 2006, while working at the cabin in St. Malo, Greg Smidt passed away at the age of 47. He leaves to cherish his memory lifetime soul mate and companion Pat Huebner of 24 years; children, Kristine (Pat), of Powerview, Jeff (Michelle) and Kathie all of Winnipeg. He treasured his grandchildren, Alisha, Brenden, Jeremie, Ayriana and unborn baby Braxton. He'll also be missed by aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, mom-Little, co-workers at DND and also by Trish and Dusty. Greg was predeceased by his parents; mother Louise (1974); and father Leonard (1989). Greg was employed with K-Mart for many years and was presently employed with DND as a mechanic. He enjoyed the cabin and working on all of his toys. You would always find Papa Greg building something. A memorial service will be held in honour of Greg on Friday, November 3 between 2:00 4:00 p.m. at Crescentwood Community Centre, 1170 Corydon Ave. Any memories of Greg will be welcomed and appreciated. In lieu of flowers, donations in Greg's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of MB, 200-6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
