Uncle Ted will be lovingly remembered by his nephew Lawrence (Jenny) and grand nephews Michael (Don), Andrew (Sheryl) and their children Kyle and Brittany, and Jason (Mikki and son Joshua). He was predeceased by his parents Sophie and Stanley and his brother Joseph and sister-in-law Katherine and also a sister and nephew in Poland. Uncle Ted was born in Poland on January 1, 1924 and came to Canada as a child with his parents and brother. He served in the Navy Reserve from 1943 to 1945. He was employed with C.P. Rail for over 40 years retiring in 1985. Uncle Ted was a long time member of the Canadian Polish Athletic Club (C.P.A.C.) from its earliest days and served on the executive. He enjoyed their many activities including bowling. He was blessed with a circle of very close lifelong friends. These friendships dated back to early childhood, continuing through out his lifetime and he cherished them dearly. Uncle Ted enjoyed summer vacations at Falcon Lake with his grand nephews, many family dinners and brunches and playing with all of the family pet puppies at these gatherings. Villa Cabrini was home to Uncle Ted for the last few years. He treasured his time there, making many new friends whose support and prayers comforted him during his illness. Uncle Ted was a kind and generous man who had quite the sense of humour. He lived and practiced his faith on a daily basis and it was that strong faith that sustained him through his many challenges. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, November 3, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Ave. with Fr. Sam Argenziano presiding.
