AGNES LAURIE HANSEN Born on May 30, 1916 in Dumfries, Scotland and died at the Edson Long Term Care October 28, 2006. Agnes Laurie Hansen, formerly of Minitonas, MB and Edmonton, AB, passed away at the Edson Long Term Care Unit. She was predeceased by her husband Clifford and son Herman. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Maren (Jurgen) Reinhards of Osoyoos, BC, Margaret (Roland) des Groseilliers of Ottawa, ON and Janet Wilkinson of Edson, AB. Agnes is also survived by her grandchildren, Maren, Kirsten, Edwin, Danielle, Manon, Jennifer, Kristine, Charles, Robert and Peter and great-grandchildren, Cedric, Catherine, Thomas, Connor, Kegan, Abigail, Amelia, Henry, MacLean and Torin. She is also survived by her brother William (Lillian) McLean of Saskatoon, SK. Agnes' full life included being an active member in the Order of the Eastern Star, many years of involvement with the Women's Institute and the United Church and a supporter of the New Democratic Party. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service took place at the Edson United Church, on Tuesday, October 31 at 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Edson District Healthcare Centre, Long Term Care, 4716 - 5th Ave., Edson, AB T7E 1S8 in memory of Agnes.
