Mom met Dad while working at Macdonald's Aircraft during The Second World War, married on June 3, 1944 and proceeded to raise six children in the West End and Silver Heights areas of Winnipeg. Mom enjoyed ten pin bowling, darts, fishing, golfing, going on bus tours to the casinos, and travelling to visit Cheryl and family in Whitehorse, Yukon, Drew and family in Port Coquitlam, BC and now Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON or Aunty Doris and family in Ohio, but she best loved spending time with her family at home or abroad, and will be best remembered and most missed for her pyrogies and holubchi which are reknowned from coast to coast to coast. Special thanks to Dr. Albak, Dr. Daniels, Jayne and Clem at Grace Hospital as well as the home care and respite care workers for their compassion. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Children's Wish Foundation, 350 St. Mary Avenue, Wpg., MB, R3C 3J2 or a charity of your choice.
