JEAN ANNE WADE With great sadness the family announces the passing of our mother and grandmother on October 31, 2006 after a lengthy courageous battle with cancer she left us quietly and peacefully. Predeceased by her husband Leslie, brother Campbell and sister Mary Barden. Jean will be lovingly missed and cherished by her children Tom (Faye), Michael (Luz), Susan (Ken) Barchuk, Shaun, pet Kato; grandchildren Lyle (Pam), Colleen (Richard) Fairhead, Jessie (Aprill), Meghan, Scott, Shane and Daniel; great-grandchildren Alyssa, Evan, Madelyn, Keyanna; brother Allan, sisters-in-law Marge and Ailene and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Jean was born in November of 1924 in Verdun, Quebec, the daughter of D. Angus and Lillian MacDonald. She married Leslie in January of 1946 in Montreal. Moved with her family to St. Eustache-sur-la-lac, QC, Campbellton, NB, Vancouver, Surrey, Burnaby, BC, North Kildonan (Winnipeg). Jean loved her family and pets unconditionally, enjoyed family gatherings and traveling with family. Service will be held, Friday, November 3, 2006, 10:30 a.m. at St. Gerard Parish, 45 Foster Ave., with interment to follow. Fr. Pierre Wood officiating. The family thanks Dr. Unrah, Dr. Bertsch, Dr. Ahmed, Mike Maxy, CancerCare and the 3rd floor staff of the Concordia Hospital for their attentive care ensuring Jean's comfort. In lieu of flowers donations in her name may be made to the Cancer Society or the Humane Society.
