MAYUMI NISHI Peacefully on Thursday, November 2, 2006 at Vista Park Lodge, our mother and grandmother passed away at the age of 94 years. Mom was born February 17, 1912. She was predeceased by her husband Yonezo in 1960; daughter Miyako Lum in 1959; and son Masaru in 1954. Mayumi will be lovingly remembered by her children, Keiko (Shig) Kubota of Milton, ON, Kikumi (Ken) Uyeno of Vancouver, Mary Nishi of Wakayama, Japan, Toshio (Susan) of Winnipeg and Mitsuo (Etsumi) of Wakayama, Japan; 16 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of Vista Park Lodge where she has resided since February 2006 and to all the HomeCare workers throughout Mom's years in Winnipeg from 1999 to present. Funeral services will be held at the Manitoba Buddhist Church, 825 Winnipeg Avenue on Saturday, November 4, at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. F. Ulrich officiating.
