RUDI KOLKE Rudi Kolke born August 6, 1917 in Poland passed away suddenly at the age of 89 on November 1, 2006 working on his handmade crafts. He is survived by his wife Lydia of 59 years; daughters, Helga (Hardy) Nachtigall and Mary (Malcolm) Clark; grandsons, Norman (Valencia) Nachtigall, Steven (Susan) Nachtigall, and Kevin (Lori) Nachtigall. Gross Opa will be sadly missed by Rya, Tyson, Ryan, Kayli, Tessa, and Leah. Predeceased by granddaughter Kristin Legge. He is survived by two brothers and one sister in Germany and numerous other family and friends. Rudi accepted Jesus Christ as his personal saviour in 1947, and served him faithfully. He served the Lord with his love of music and wood working. Rudi will be sadly missed, but always remembered. The funeral service will be held on Monday, November 6 at 11:00 a.m. at Rowandale Baptist Church, 162 Rowandale Ave. Viewing to be held at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main St., on Sunday, November 5 from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Camp Nutimik Memorial Fund - Rudi Kolke, P.O. 34006 RPO Fort Richmond, Winnipeg, MB R3T 5T5.
