Rick was raised and educated in Transcona and spent many happy hours at the old East End Community Club and hanging out with his buddies. He met Joyce in 1960, married in 1963 and had their beloved daughter in 1967. Rick worked in the Trucking and Storage Industry all his life, with Star Storage, Sea-Way Midwest and his dream job at Bronco with the Dream Team . His last employment of many years was with Paramount Storage Ltd. where he found his other dream team . Dad loved the cottage at the Big Whiteshell, the late nite B.B.Q.'s, bonfires and a cold one or two. He loved to travel, which took him to Vegas and just recently to B.C. with his brother, which he treasured deeply. Rick loved to go to the casinos, going to the Jet Games and racquet ball games he shared with his nephew, Gordon. He also enjoyed all the Good Times at Diana and Barry's farm and all the Malanka's with the old gang. Dad was a hard working, dedicated family man who loved life! His daughter was his pride and joy. He was a quiet, gentle soul that will be missed forever. In accordance with Rick's wishes, there will be no formal funeral service. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
