JACQUELINE ROY (nee PREFONTAINE) Jan. 20, 1926 - Nov. 3, 2006 With sorrowful and aching hearts, we announce the passing of Jacqueline in the early hours of November 3, 2006 at Victoria Hospital. She will be greatly missed, but remembered and loved forever by her three children, Claude (Joyce), Lucienne (Ken) and Laurent (Gisele); by her three treasured granddaughters, Jacqueline, Joelle (Travis), and Melanie; by her brothers, Marcel (Pauline), Albert (Diane); and her sister Alice (Paul); by her brothers-in-law, Gerry and Philippe (Alice); and her sisters-in-law, Yvonne, Rita Marquis and Rita Prefontaine. Jacqueline was predeceased by her husband Ray in 2003; and her parents, Edmond and Lucienne Prefontaine. Jacqueline was an amazing woman who combined vitality and energy with a deep love for her family and friends. Music always played an important part in her life, as a choir singer and director, and piano player and teacher. The family wishes to thank the staff at Foyer Valade, where she spent the last several years. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. at St. Boniface Cathedral on Thursday, November 9. A reception will be held afterwards. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
