DENISE FLORENCE KIROUAC Our mother Denise Florence Kirouac passed away at the age of 82 years to join her husband Emile on the afternoon of November 2, 2006. Her last 13 years were spent with Alzheimer's disease. Her younger years employment was at the Swifts meat processing plant; but motherhood soon made her a stay at home mom. She is survived by her daughter Diane (Norman); sons, Robert (Aurore), Rheal (Joyce), Larry (Wendy), Marcel (Gloria). Denise and Emile have 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. We would like to acknowledge Denise's surviving three brothers, Maurice Gougeon, John Gougeon and Elie Gougeon. Denise's and Emile's musical rhythm could be seen in their waltz and polkas together; and then there was Denise doing her jigging and tricks. While at home, she took and interest in children's daycare and after school care; she took pride in being kind. Denise had a love of God and the Saints. She never repudiated the Almighty for any anguish in life. Her enjoyments were the radio morning talk shows such as the Peter Warren Show and the French Marcher AU Pus (the flea market bargains on the radio). Her hospitality for the Saturday night visitors gave them music, country style, and Chinese food order-in. The laughter woke up the children at times with the card games that followed. We raided the fridge in the morning. Our family extends our much appreciation to the staff and friends at Foyer Valade for the care and love you gave to all and to Denise on the floor. We thank you for the sympathies you extended personally on the day of her passing; also the glances of compassion have been felt by those who looked our way. Our family extends our sorrow to those we could not contact personally on the passing of our mom. Thank you Alice, Denis, Bernice, Jeannette, Lorraine, etc, for your visits and kindness. To all our extended cousins, aunts and uncles for having partaken in the life of our mother Denise and father Emile, we wish great memories. Many thanks to her family friends who have added joy and well-being. A sense of loss of physical presence and the soul of a mother is so sad; each human life adds to the joy and sorrow of others. Our family has never forgotten any of you and a tear now comes to my eyes. With your patience we say that if an expression of regard for all who have known someone with Alzlheimer disease is felt, you may make a small contribution to the society as an expression of you! A testimony of love is never complete. Our mom has had a cremation service, and private interment has taken place at Green Acres.
