MELBA KARLENZIG 1933 - 2006 On November 2, 2006, Melba passed away gracefully at the Victoria Hospital at the age 73 years. Left to forever cherish Melba's memory are her children, David (Debbie), Ron (Heather), Karen (Dean) Charles, Brenda (Walter) Aitken; grandchildren, Blaire, Stefanie Karlenzig, Tricia, James Charles, Cory, Megan Kloos, Alana (Mathieu) Manaigre, Ryan, Chantel Aitken; great-grandchild Kylie Charles; sisters, Connie (Roy) Nelson, Grace Franzmann, Arlene (Art) Karlenzig; sister-in-law Gertrude Smith and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Melba is predeceased by her beloved husband William (Bill) of 49 years of marriage. Mom's love for children was enormous and could be felt through every generation. She loved to lose herself in books and was quite fond of classical music. Both Mom and Dad loved to golf, if you didn't find them on the golf course you would see them at the hockey arena, watching their other great love. Mom also had a competitive edge and showed no mercy when it came to playing cards or games, it always made for great fun. Besides all these great memories she will be most remembered for her wonderful homemade bread, always warm and fresh. A private family ceremony honoring Melba's life will be held. The family would like to thank the St. Norbert Personal Care Home for their care. In lieu of flowers, donations in Melba's memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association 200-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6. Melba's arrangements have been entrusted to the Family Owned Funeral Chapel of: WOJCIK'S ALL BELIEFS FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL CREMATORIUM 897 - 4665
