JOHN MARCHUK On Tuesday, October 31, 2006 John Marchuk, aged 73 years, of Winnipeg and formerly of Thunder Bay, ON. John worked in Winnipeg as a pipefitter for Local 253, for which he travelled many places abroad. In 1986 he switched to Local 628 in Thunder Bay and lived there until 2001 when he retired. John moved back to Winnipeg after he retired. All his pipefitter friends called him Winnipeg John . Survived by his son Patrick Marchuk (Michelle) of Gunton, MB. Also survived by five sisters, Annie Woychyshyn of Selkirk, MB, Rose Kozera (Casper) of Sarnia, ON, Jean Ciemny of Keswick, ON, Eileen Zacharchuk (Mitch) of St. Pierre, MB, Olga Wyrcimaga of Beamsville, ON; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives. John was predeceased by his parents Nicholas and Katherine, three sisters Mary Worobec 2001, Pauline Bodner 1959, Stella Harasymec 1990; one brother Mike 1993; also by brothers-in-law, Roman Worobec, Mike Woychyshyn, Dan Harasymec, Martin Ciemny, Orest Wyrcimaga. A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 10 at 11:00 a.m. in MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, 433 Main St., Stonewall. MacKenzie Funeral Home Stonewall in care of arrangements.
