CAROLE ALICE LENCH December 8, 1939 - November 4, 2006 The sunshine has gone out of our lives and our lives will never ever be the same. Today, God gently wrapped his loving arms around our loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and carried her to Him. It is with profound sadness that we announce the sad departure of our beloved Carole. Carole, much beloved wife of Donald Lench, she was his best friend and soul mate. Dear Mother of Cynthia Busch and (Robert) Moffat, grandmother to Amanda and Jason Moffat. Dear Mother and grandmother to Kate and Emma Busch. Dear Mother to Nancy Busch and grandmother to Ashley and Stevi Knight. Dear Step-mother to Gordon Lench and friend Tanya and step-grandson James Lench. Carole also leaves her loving sister and brother-in-law Bonnie and Jim Simcoe. Auntie to Holly-Ellen and Hollis Forbes, great-auntie to Jesse, Matthew and Meghan Forbes. Auntie to Daniel and Tracy Simcoe and great-auntie to Jennifer Simcoe. Carole was predeceased by her infant daughter Colleen and by her parents George and Ellen Harding. Carole, beautiful Carole, was one classy lady who enjoyed life to the fullest. She was a kind, generous, understanding lady and a very devoted friend to all who knew her. To know her was to love her! Carole loved her beautiful retirement home in Traverse Bay, MB, that her Don built with such loving care for her. She spent many a happy day decorating to make a beautiful home for her Don. Carole really loved all her flower gardens and put a lot of work into them. She especially loved her daisy garden, which were her favorite flowers. She had a great appreciation for nature of any kind, every rock that Don picked up for her garden was extremely special to her. Carole had a flair for decorating, craft work, oil painting, reading, ceramics and writing poetry. For many years before Don and Carole retired, Carole had her own ceramic shop where she taught many happy students the art of ceramics. In recent years Don and Carole traveled to many special places, much to the delight of Carole. She loved Texas, Arizona and Mexico, she also loved her Grand Forks shopping trips. Earlier this past spring Don and Carole bought a lovely trailer in Texas and were looking forward to spending the winters there. Unfortunately, this dream of Carole and Don's will never be realized. Carole leaves behind many good friends and we thank them all for all the great food, beautiful flowers, cards and the hospital visits. It always cheered her up. It was very much appreciated by Carole and her family. We would like to thank the Staff at CancerCare at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg and the doctors and staff at the Pine Falls, MB. Hospital for all their devoted care. As this was greatly appreciated and meant the world to us to see that Carole was getting such wonderful care from everyone she came into contact with. Jim and Bonnie would like to thank Don for giving our Sissy twenty-seven glorious years of happiness and unconditional love. You touched her soul and she touched yours and we are forever grateful for all you did for our sissy. To my Sissy Now that you are in heaven Sit with God on his deck and have a sip of wine and I will come to you when it is my time. Love your Sis. Carole wrote this poem when she became ill in August 2006. If there is a God in heaven And I sincerely hope there is I hope he is there to greet me To judge the life on earth I've lived I hope that he will understand The many times I've failed And he will judge accordingly When goodness has prevailed I hope that he will take my hand Wash away my doubt and fear And welcome me to his home above And wipe away my tears. Carole Lench Cremation has taken place as per Carole's wishes, there will be no service, interment will come at a later date for her family. In lieu of flowers donations in remembrance of Carole may be made to: Dr. James Johnston, C.L.L. Research, CancerCare, 675 McDermot Ave. Winnipeg. MB, R3E 0V9. Carole, your family and friends love you so very much and our hearts will ache for you always.
