Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTEWART MCMILLAN GRAY Peacefully on November 3, 2006, Stewart Gray passed away at the Concordia General Hospital. Stewart is survived by his sister MaryBelle (Ted) Gregoire of B.C., and numerous nieces and nephews and their families. He is predeceased by his dear sister, Margaret Skinner and brother, Archie Gray. Stewart was born in Portage la Prairie, MB, on August 24, 1923 as the youngest son of James and Mary Gray. His childhood was spent on the family farm outside of Portage la Prairie. As a young man, Stewart enlisted in the Canadian Army and served his country faithfully as a soldier during the Second World War in the United Kingdom and Europe; receiving the France and Germany Star. Upon leaving the army, Stewart made Winnipeg his home and for 36 years worked at the Canadian Forces Base in Winnipeg as a grounds engineer. In his spare time Stewart had a passion to watch the horse races at Assiniboia Downs. Even though a quiet man, Stewart made a big impact on all those who knew him.
