MIKE GROMNISKY November 21, 1912 - November 4, 2006 Peacefully with his family at his side, our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather passed away a few weeks shy of his 94th birthday. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 65 years, Nettie, in 2004. Cherishing many fond memories are his children, Jan (Greg) Bizruchak (Winnipeg), Elgin (Wendy) Gromnisky (Winnipeg), Barry Gromnisky (Edmonton), Jerry (Toni) Gromnisky (Yorkton), Sharon (Jerry) Prystay (Thompson) and Vivian (James) Prystay (Edmonton). Lovingly remembered and missed by all his grandchildren, Darrin (Lindsay), Carla (Kiran), Cathy (Joel), Kent (Max), Kevin (Angela), Garth (Theresa), Shelley, Lisa (Shawn), Craig, Oriahna, Jamie (Ed), Kristy and Keri. Gido's five great-grandchildren will treasure their time and memories they have of him. Tahlia, Kyron, Matthew, Nicholas and Nyah. Also surviving Mike are his sisters, Elsie, Lila, Evelyn, Mary, Isabel (Bill), Anne Sopel; brother John (Stella); sister-in-law Annie Suknasky and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter-in-law Sandra; grandson Omar; brothers, Allan and Tony and brother Ladie in infancy. Dad lived a very full life. He farmed for many years in Saskatchewan before retiring. He assumed many roles which included being a member of school board, political party, credit union, museum, senior's club, Legion and local baseball team. In 2004 he moved to Winnipeg where many adventures awaited him. He loved spending time with his family, the outdoors, going to the casino, playing crib and a good T-Bone steak. Gido loved all animals and we know his granddogs will miss the treats he snuck them. The family expresses their appreciation to the staff of the Middlechurch Home for their friendship and loving care to dad during his last year. Funeral services will be at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church in Sturgis, SK, November 9, 2006. Rest in Peace
