ANNIE ELLISON Mrs. Annie Ellison, aged 86 years, passed away peacefully at the Beausejour Hospital on Tuesday, November 7, 2006. She is survived by her daughters, Jean (Jim) Revill and Linda (David) Bullman; son-in-law Leonard Marynewich; her grandchildren; Debbie (Mark), Donna (Andy), Ron, Shawn (Marny) and Derek; her great-grandchildren, Stephen, Justin, Josh, Jeremy, Logan, Rhyan and Rhys, and her extended family in Stony Mountain and England. She was predeceased by her husband Jim (1967); daughter Pat (2004) and granddaughter Carol (2005). Anne was born in England. She met and married husband Jim in 1942. Anne arrived in Canada as a war bride in 1945. Settling first in Stony Mountain and shortly after moving to Winnipeg. Anne stayed home to raise her girls then went to work first at Eaton's and then The Bay where she worked until retiring in 1976. She later moved to Beausejour to be closer to family. Anne enjoyed many trips with friends to Hawaii, Mexico and visiting family in England. Anne enjoyed reading, knitting, crocheting, always making slippers, mitts and toques for us. Cooking was another past time during holidays, mincemeat, sausage rolls, shortbread and butter tarts. Anne was an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Beausejour Legion #132. The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses at the Beausejour Hospital, especially Dr. Garth Campbell, for their wonderful care. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, November 9 at 11:00 a.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue East, Beausejour, MB. The funeral service will terminate at the chapel. Interment will take place at Stony Mountain Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. Friends may view at the funeral home prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, if friends and family so desire, donations in Annie's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 200 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
