Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWALTER FENWICK ERVIN HAINSWORTH Peacefully at the Health Sciences Centre, on Friday, November 3, 2006, Walter Hainsworth passed away at the age of 92. He was predeceased by his wife Marion and sister Viola. He is survived by his daughter Margaret (Dennis) Kaltenbach, granddaughter Melissa Kaltenbach, nephew Ed (Irene) Smith, great-nephew Morgan Smith and sister Barbara Hainsworth. Walter worked at the Garrick Theater and the Odeon Theater. He served in the Navy during the Second World War on the Uganda. After returning, Walter worked for Winnipeg Transit for 28 years. After his retirement from Winnipeg Transit, he worked for the Police commissioners for seven years. He was a longtime member of the Grace United Church and the Kildonan United Church. He was on the finance committee, on the church board and was also an elder. Walter was an active member of the West Kildonan Legion Branch 30 for over 60 years. He was also a talented speed skater. We wish to send a special thanks to Jack and Dora Armstrong, Steve and Jean Shwaluik and Lolita Isaacs. A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 10 at 1:00 p.m. at Kildonan United Church, 187 Kilbride Ave. Interment will follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations in Walter's name may be made to C.N.I.B (Manitoba Division), 1080 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3G 3M3 or to a charity of your choice.
