STEFFIE HRADOWY (STEFISHEN)
Born: May 27, 1935
Date of Passing: Nov 05, 2006
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTEFFIE HRADOWY (STEFISHEN) May 27, 1935 - November 5, 2006 It is with breaking hearts that we announce the accidental passing of Steffie Hradowy in the afternoon hours of November 5, 2006. She will be sadly missed and never forgotten by her husband of 50 years Ed Hradowy, her daughter Angela (Gary) Moeller and granddaughter Kelsey; son Wayne and grandchildren, Cassandra and Colin; plus numerous family members and friends. She is survived by her sisters, Mary Andreciw, Anna Marynick and one brother Steve (Pauline) Stefishen. She was predeceased by her parents, Dmetro and Jessie (Paluk) Stefishen and her brothers, Paul, Joe, and Mike. Mom was a kind and gentle person. She was dedicated and devoted her time to her family and community. Mom was one of the most important people in our lives. She spent her life helping us along the pathway of our lives to make everything so much easier and happier for her family. She took on the responsibility to care for us in sickness and in health.....in good times and in bad during family ups and downs and she was always there when you needed her most and would never let you down. She was with us to share our laughter, tears, joys, pain, heartbreaks and life challenges and struggles. She believed in a simple...honest...hardworking lifestyle. Mom added all the little extras to everything, there is no question in our love for her. She was especially attentive to all the details, which make a family thrive, and our house became a home. She gave us life and let us live. She tried to keep us all happy, enriched with love and has taught us the presence of God. Just as when we were children, she was still there when we looked over our shoulders for a reassuring presence. She was not only there for her family, she was also there for her communities in the Inwood, Polson and Komarno Districts. She provided her support and services for the Fall Suppers in the Polson and Inwood area, Inwood WI, and the Komarno and Polson Ukrainian Catholic Churches, and supported other Ukrainian Catholic Churches in the Interlake. She enjoyed her friends and activities. We treasure all the paper toll crafts, crocheting and ceramic figures that she made with love and perfection. We endulged in the delicious food she prepared and the abundance of garden vegetables she shared in good and bad years of Manitoba weather. Beautiful flowers were also seen in her yard in the spring and summer. Mom was blessed with good health and was taken from us much too quickly. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 10 at the MacKenzie Funeral Home, 433 Main St., in Stonewall, MB. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 11 at 11:00 a.m. in the Holy Trinity Ukranian Catholic Church in Komarno with interment to follow in the Holy Trinity Cemetery. Rev. Fr. Harry Chuckry will officiate. In lieu of flowers, friends who desire may make contributions payable to the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church in Komarno, MB, Box 875, Teulon, MB R0C 3B0. Rest in Peace - we will miss you so much. MacKenzie Funeral Home in Stonewall in care of arrangements.

In loving memory of our mother and grandmother who passed away accidentally November 5, 2006 Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there. I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glints on the snow. I am the sunlight on the ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning's hush of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry; I am not there, I did not die. You live forever in our hearts Sadly missed by Angela and family - Posted by: Angela (Daughter) on: Nov 05, 2014
