CHARLES NOVAK It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, grandfather and great-grandfather on November 6, 2006 at the age of 84. Charlie was born in Winnipeg on January 6, 1922 and was predeceased by his beloved wife Mary in 1999. He was also predeceased by his sister Katherine Burke and brothers, Joe, Walter and John. Charlie had a very successful business career as a Denturist and was well respected by his many loyal customers. In addition he touched many individuals in serving his community as a volunteer, Trustee of the Winnipeg School Board, Chairman of the City of Winnipeg Parks Board and a founding member of the Bluebird Service Club. He was instrumental in the building of two senior residences in which a boardroom was named in his honour. Charlie was an enthusiastic sportsman, a championship ten-pin bowler and a golfer. Charlie is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Marv Lange; granddaughter and husband Lisa and Jay Khosla and great-granddaughter Jasmine. He is also survived by his siblings, Ed, Frank (Helen) and Helen Wensel (Norman). Charlie will be greatly missed by a very large extended group of family and friends. A Celebration of Charlie's life will be held on Saturday, November 11 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. A very special thanks to the wonderful staff of the Emergency Ward of the St. Boniface Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Charlie's memory to a charity of your choice.
