CASIMIR LITEROVICH (1931 - 2006) It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved husband, father and brother on November 6, 2006 at St. Boniface Hospital. Casimir was born on April 16, 1931 in Kenora, ON, the son of Peter and Katherine. He was predeceased by his parents, his brother Stan and his sister Sophia. He will be sadly missed by his wife Bernice; children, Rick (Pam Smith), Ron (Kim), Bill and Lisa (James) Lye; grandchildren, Amy, Samantha, Matthew, Ian, Kenzie and Kathleen; great-granddaughter Veronica Weston and sister Rose Allin. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by many dear friends and relatives. He was a valued employee, trainer and consultant of Boise Cascade, Kenora, until his first retirement in 1988. He then accepted a position as a consultant / trainer with Howe Sound Pulp and Paper Company in British Columbia. He retired again in 1991 and returned to Kenora where he promptly returned to his position with Boise Cascade as consultant / trainer. He finally retired in 1996. Casimir was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting with his children and grandchildren. He especially enjoyed his annual trips on the English River with his children and brother. The family thanks all of the doctors and staff at St. Boniface Hospital. They especially extend their gratitude to the doctors and nurses of the Intensive Care Units and the seventh floor who provided excellent and compassionate care. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service was held on November 10 at Brown Funeral Home, Kenora, ON. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Casimir's memory to the St. Boniface Hospital and Research Foundation, 409 Tache Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2H 2A6.
