Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVERNA FRANCES MOFFATT It is with great sadness and a sense of peace that we announce that Mom / Nanny passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2006 surrounded by her loving family. Missing her terribly, but proud to rejoice in her memory are her husband Neil and her children, Deb (Roger), Tannis (friend Lorne), Vanda (Greg), Van (Debbie) and daughter-in-law Liz, as well as her 12 grandchildren, Tyler, Lacey, Christina (Jason), Darin, Regan, Andrea, Nicola, Cody, Drew, Kylie, Jessie (friend Nicole) and Dana. She was predeceased by a son Bob in 2005. Mom had a strong sense of family values, respect and love that she instilled in her family. Our Nanny was famous for her perogies and cabbage rolls, her homemade socks, slippers and mitts that were appreciated by not only family but friends as well. She also enjoyed her meals out with special friends. Her generous spirit has been enjoyed by her grandchildren over the years. Nanny was very proud of her family and never questioned or judged, she just loved. The family would like to thank Dr.Bruneau and the staff of Lorne Memorial Hospital in Swan Lake, MB for their compassion and the care given to Mom. As per Verna's request, cremation has taken place and no formal funeral service will be held. A private family interment will be held at a later date. When I come to the end of the road, And the sun has set for me, I want no rites in a gloom filled room, Why cry for a soul set free? Miss me a little, but not too long, And not with your head lowered low, Remember the good times we once shared, Miss me - but let me go! Graham's Funeral Service of Manitou in care of arrangements.
