PETER FRANK SIMARD With deepest regrets and extreme sorrow, the family of Peter Frank Simard announces his sudden passing on November 7, 2006. Peter has gone on to be with his parents, Harriet and Edward Simard and his son, Francois who are waiting for him. He leaves to mourn his loving wife, 8 children, 6 grandchildren, 11 brothers and sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews. Peter's greatest role in life was a Daddy to all his children, driving them to school, to the doctor, to cadets, to hockey and violin lessons. You could be sure he would share his children's accomplishments every day. Peter loved his wife and was proud of her completing her university degree. Peter grew up in Manigotogan and often shared many stories of learning to fish with his Dad and brothers on Lake Winnipeg. Peter loved travelling and crisscrossed Canada every summer with his family. He would phone from places like Confederation Bridge and the CN Tower. Peter loved cars and enjoyed cruising every Sunday night with Vic and his buddies. You would recognize his vehicles by the Metis Flag and Metis Proud insignias. Peter's greatest personal accomplishment was his sobriety of 18 years. Peter was always helping and supporting his family and friends. We will miss you Peter. Come and share Peter's life stories at the wake and prayer services to be held in Winnipeg on Saturday, November 11 starting at 3:00 p.m. at The Metis Club at 406 McGregor St. and on Sunday, November 12 starting at 4:00 p.m. at the Community Hall in Manigotogan, MB. Peter will be laid to rest in Manigotogan on Monday, November 13, 2006 with funeral services at 1:00 p.m. RUSSELL'S of Beausejour, Manitoba are in care of arrangements.
