Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryIVAN KANDEL (KENDALL) It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather. Ivan passed peacefully away on November 6, 2006 at the Seven Oaks General Hospital. Born in Aalborg, Denmark, on April 4, 1916. Ivan came to Canada in 1921 with his mother Julie Emilie. In 1936, while working in The Pas, Ivan met the love of his life Angela Wolk. They celebrated 68 years of marriage on September 1, and remained inseparable throughout. Left to cherish his memory, besides his loving wife Angela; his son Noel (Jacqueline); daughters, Lesley (Bill Curtis), Karen (Bill George); grandchildren, Nicole (Chris), Michael, Kevin (Sarah), Jason (Leanna), Derek and Andrew. During The Second World War, Dad served over seas in the Canadian Army as a medic. Upon his return, he worked for the C.P.R. for 43 years. He was a member of St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Dad will be lovingly remembered as a devoted family man, who was extremely proud of the accomplishments of his children and grandchildren. He was an avid reader, loved music, and always kept himself busy working around the house. Dad was always willing to lend a helping hand to all. A special thank you to the staff at 5U5 at the Seven Oaks General Hospital for all their wonderful care. Flowers are gratefully declined, donations may be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Ivan. Memorial service will be held on Monday, November 13, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church, 250 Burrin Avenue, Winnipeg.
