Mom was born in St. Georges, Manitoba on December 31, 1914. She lived in St. Georges all her life where she raised her 9 children. Her home was an open house for family and friends and anyone visiting was very precious to her. Mom's family meant the world to her and you always knew you were loved unconditionally. Mom had a very strong faith and devotion to the Virgin Mary, which helped carry her through her difficult times. Mom had many talents, she loved to be outside working in her garden or in the yard and she spent many hours canning and cooking for her family. She also loved to knit, quilt, cross-stitch and paint and we all have something special that she made for us to treasure. In her quiet moments you could always find her peacefully rocking in her chair. The family would like to acknowledge Dr. Abu Dieh and the hospital staff for the care and kindness shown to Mom and her family. We would also like to thank Rev. Fr. Dominic La Fleur for his compassion in her time of need; it was a great comfort to her and her family. Thank you to Rev. Fr. Réjean Bélanger for his kindness and friendship throughout the years. Thank you to the Homecare workers, who made it possible for her to remain in her home all these years. Funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, November 13 at 1:30 p.m. at the St. Georges Roman Catholic Church, St. Georges, MB with Rev. Fr. Dominic La Fleur presiding. Pallbearers will be Michel Dupont, Dominic Chevrefils, Nicholas Chevrefils, Steven Chevrefils, Ryan Jubinville and Andrew Race. Honorary pallbearers are all her grandchildren. Cremation will follow and interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Georges Parish, St. Georges, Manitoba.
