MANFRED HEINZ HOHNE Manfred Heinz Hohne passed away surrounded by the ones he loved the most on Thursday, November 9, 2006, at the age of 56. He is survived by his loving wife Susan, of 33 years; daughter Michelle Hohne of Vancouver and son Christopher Hohne (Allison) of Kelowna. Manfred battled cancer with courage, dignity and optimism for over two years. The family would like to thank the many people who helped him through his journey; all the staff of the Cancer Centre for the Southern Interior, the Leukemia BMT team in Vancouver, Dr. David Saltman and Dr. David Haogler. A special thanks to Dr. Judy Sutherland, Dr. Allen Hignell, nurse Aldyn, and the Palliative Care and Response team who made Manfred's wish to be at home possible. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 18 at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Centre for the Southern Interior, 399 Royal Ave., Kelowna, BC, V1Y 5L3. A gift in living memory of Manfred will be made to Holding Hands for Hospice by Springfield Funeral Home.
