Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN HAMILTON 1915 2006 On Thursday, November 9, 2006 at Boundary Trails Health Centre, John Hamilton aged 91 years of Darlingford, MB passed away with his family by his side. John was born on April 25, 1915 at home in the Homewood area. After living in Carman and Elm Creek area for several years they settled on a farm at Haywood until 1929. At which time they moved to the farm in the Middleton district, north of Darlingford. In July 1945, he married Laura Vincent of Balmoral. John was a farmer and still kept up to date by reading the farm papers and his morning discussions at the coffee shop. He also had a natural attribute for machinery and anything mechanical. He just wished there had been a track hoe for him to operate when he was a young man. Dad was a quiet man. His family was by far the most important thing in his life and his strength of character has set an example for us all. He leaves to mourn his passing his daughter, Betty Hamilton of Darlingford; son, Tom Hamilton of Darlingford (children, Jason, Kevin and wife, Heather), son, Ian and Bonnie Hamilton of Darlingford (children, Amanda and husband, Clint Seward, Glen). John was predeceased by his wife, Laura on December 3, 2001; his parents, Richard (1943) and Jessie (1964) Hamilton and his brothers, James (1982) and his wife Margaret (2001), Richard (1992) and Bill (2000). With respect for dad's wishes, there will be a private funeral for his immediate family only on Monday, November 13, with interment at Darlingford Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Darlingford School Heritage Fund, Darlingford Fire Department or the charity of one's choice.
