ALBERT (WAYNE) PHELPS August 18, 1935 - November 9, 2006 On November 9, 2006, Wayne passed away at Riverview Health Centre with his family at his side. Predeceased by his parents Violet and Albert. Leaving in his memory his wife Judy; sister Betty (Owen) Murray; daughters Lori Decksheimer, Leanne (Darryl) Nault; stepchildren Nina (Mark) Smilinski, Judy (Keith) Cheetham, Sarah (James) Pichor and Ron (Jen) Kehler. Also 11 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Growing up in Sperling, MB he loved his Fiddle playing with his Father in The Band . In his youth he also loved playing hockey, baseball, curling and was involved in track and field. Bowling and golf were his loves later in life. He touched the lives of many people from fellow workers at Bristol Aerospace to the dental office, law office and daycare he maintained in his retirement years. He will be missed by the people he made golf clubs for, played pool or golfed with. His greatest pleasure in the last few months was sitting visiting at the Airport Hotel. Arrangements have been made for service and interment at Chapel Lawn, 4000 Portage Ave. on Wednesday, November 15 at 12:30 p.m. After the service the family invites Wayne's friends to join in reflecting on his life at the Airport Motor Inn, 1800 Ellice Ave. at 2:00 p.m. in the lower hall. Lastly a big thank you to the staff of 3E at Riverview Palliative Care Unit, your care and compassion was greatly appreciated by all the family.
