BILL (DOC WERBY) WERBOWSKI February 14, 1931 - November 7, 2006 It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved husband, Dad and Grampa in North Vancouver, BC. Bill passed away peacefully in the early morning of November 7, 2006 after a brief, but courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by his parents, Roman (1991) and Pauline (1992). He will be deeply missed by his loving family; wife of 52 years, Honorie; daughter Cindy; son Greg (Noreen); his two cherished grandsons Sean and Ryan; step grandson Cody. He is also survived by his brother Paul (Wanda); niece Paula Macek (Ralf) and their family (Winnipeg); nephew Andrew (Michelle) and their family (Oakville, ON). Dad loved people, good conversation and a good beer. He was a devoted fan of the NFL and was ecstatic to see his Chicago Bears doing so well this season. He was a lifelong NY Yankee fan. He enjoyed listening to fine jazz, big band and Pete Fountain's dixieland music. But above all else, Bill loved his family and home and kept us entertained for hours with stories only he could tell. We'll miss Bill's great sense of humour and the enjoyment of watching the ball games on Sunday and rooting for his team. Bill enjoyed the simple things in life and he truly enjoyed the dogs he has had. He has joined his beloved canine companions, Pookie, Indigo, Yogi and Casey. His dogie Dixie and his son's dogs Buddy and Holly will miss him deeply. Any donations please make to your local SPCA on Bill's behalf. We'll meet again, Pop - That's a good bet - a lead pipe cinch!
