Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGEORGE KOPYTKO It is with profound sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend George Kopytko. George said good-bye to his lifelong love of 47 years, Helga, in 2002. He was reunited with her in the Lord's care on November 11, 2006. George loved being with his family and he always had a smile when he saw one of us; he lived for us. George was the father of three sons: Kevin; Chris and his wife Joanne and their children Kasandra, Hannah and Christopher; Grant and his wife Bridget and their two children Sarah and Jack; one great-granddaughter Autumn. George was born in Alonsa, MB on April 4, 1931. He was 75. His father Steve and mother Julia farmed near Alonsa where he and his brothers and sisters grew up. George was a young man when he fell in love with Helga Bielik. They were married in August of '56 and never left each others' side. They raised a family in Burlington, Ontario where George worked for Dempster's Bakery. He later moved to McCreary, MB where he and Helga bought a business. They sold it and later bought the Quik Stop where gramps would hand out candy to the grandkids. He and Helga sold the store (much to the kids' disappointment) and retired from work. He and Helga travelled and spent many hours in their back yard putting around. We will miss you dad but we know where you are and you are free. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 16 at the McCreary Gospel Church in McCreary, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Dobchuk Funeral Home is in care of arrangements McCreary, Manitoba. Telephone 204-835-2004
