Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN PHILLIP STEVENS It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of John (Johnny), our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend on November 10, 2006 at the age of 76 at the Concordia Hospital. Left to cherish his memory is the love of his life and best friend of 55 years, his wife Pat; daughters, Lee Evanchuk, Vicki Stevens (Jacques), Linda (Randy) Silzer and son Todd. He also leaves his loving grandchildren, Shelley (Scotty), Tannis (Matthew), Tyler and Lyndsay and his brother Frank (Fran) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Eleanor, mother Margaret and father John. John was born November 7, 1930 in Regina and moved to Winnipeg at a very young age. Upon graduating from Gordon Bell High School, John worked for the C.N.R. for several years. He then moved on to Zellers and Eaton's and eventually started working for Norcross Greeting Cards. In 1977 he formed his own manufacturing agency, J L Agencies Ltd., with his wife Pat and daughter Lee and was later joined by Todd. Over the years they represented numerous companies in the toy and office product industries, where John made many lifelong friends. John retired in 1990 and never looked back. He and Pat spent most of their time at their home in Redditt doing what they loved most, fishing, snowmobiling, water sports and curling. He was always busy either tinkering in the yard and garage or helping family and friends. He and Pat also loved to travel and enjoyed many memorable holidays to various destinations. He was loved by all who knew him and will be sadly missed. We would like to thank the staff at Health Sciences Centre especially Dr. Sisler, Pam and a very special thank you to Melanie for her kindness. Thank you also to the staff at Concordia Hospital for their care and compassion. A memorial service will be held Wednesday November 15 at 11:00 a.m. at VOYAGE FUNERAL HOME, 220 Hespeler Ave., Winnipeg, MB.
