Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANGUS (GUS) MCDOUGALL May 17, 1919 - November 10, 2006 On Friday, November 10, 2006, Gus McDougall passed away peacefully at the Victoria General Hospital at the age of 87 years. Angus is survived by his wife Margaret; daughter Catherine (Edward Curlette) of Galway, Ireland; son David (Maureen) of Calgary, six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and two sisters. He was predeceased by his son James and grandson Kevin, two brothers and four sisters. Gus retired from the C.N.R. where he worked as a Carman for many years. Angus was an avid sports fan. He loved to golf, almost daily at the Carmen Golf Course. He was a lifetime member of the Fort Garry Legion, where thanks to his wonderful legionnaire friends, even though he was almost totally blind, he was able to bowl, golf, curl and play shuffleboard right up to the end. Gus will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him, because to know him was to love him. The family would like to thank the medical staff of the Victoria General Hospital for all their kind help and excellent care. A memorial service will be held at St. Vital Roman Catholic Church at 1629 Pembina Highway on Wednesday, November 15, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Angus's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Suite 200 - 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3L 0K6.
