Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVERA GUNN Suddenly, but peacefully, on Sunday, November 12, 2006, Vera passed away at Calvary Place. Vera was born in Winnipeg on May 28, 1916 to the late Antonio and Marie Capri. She was predeceased by her husband Ralph; her sisters, Millie Wildeman (Arthur) and Angela Syrota (Frank) and her brothers, Victor Capri, John (Una) Capri and Louie Capri. Vera is survived by her loving son Ralph and his wife Dana; grandson Shane and wife Sherrie; great-grandchildren, Travis and Wade; her brother Ernie (June) Capri and sister-in-law Edith Capri. She will be greatly missed by her niece Colleen (Brian) Foley; nephews, Richard (Phyllis) Capri, Ramon (Wendy) Capri, Carl Wildeman, Craig (Gail) Capri and Wayne Capri and niece Bonnie (Erwin) Weidermann. Vera had many great-nieces and nephews but those closest to her heart were Leanne (Ryan) Foley-Campbell together with daughter Jade Foley, Christopher Foley, Andrea Capri (fiancé Will Cuccaro) and Jennifer (Danny) Santos together with daughter Daniella. A loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt, Vera led a full life. A compassionate person always willing to lend a hand. Vera enjoyed her independence and her many friends at McClure Place for 25 years and moved to Calvary Place in April, 2006 due to declining health. For many years she was an integral part of many family gatherings and in her later years she looked forward to visits from her family. A special thank you to her brother Ernie and his wife June for their weekly visits. Ralph and Dana would also like to thank the entire staff of Calvary Place for their compassionate care in the last few months. Cremation has taken place at Vera's request. A memorial service will be held at McClure United Church, 533 Greenwood Place, Winnipeg at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 16, 2006.
