ROSE WOODS (MCGRATH)

ROSE WOODS (nee MCGRATH) 1912 2006 Peacefully at the age of 93 years. Born in Ireland to John and Rose McGrath, Rose studied in Belgium from 1929 to 1934 and then resided in England from 1934 to 1936. She moved to Winnipeg to join her sisters and worked for the Hudson Bay Company. In 1958, Rose married Col. Percy Woods and together they moved to Keewatin, ON where they owned and operated the Sun Valley Lodge. In 1972, Rose retired back to Winnipeg. She was predeceased by her husband Percy in 1972; her sisters, Elizabeth Winnie Dandenault, Josephine Hunter, Kathleen McGrath and by her brothers, George and Patrick McGrath. Rose will be lovingly remembered by her nephew Bryan Dandenault of Battle Creek, MI, her nieces, Lynne Dandenault Frary of Rockford, IL and Maureen Dandenault Mood of Boulder, CO as well as many great and great-great-nieces and nephews.
