BEATRICE (BEATY) JUNE WARNETT Beatrice (Beaty) June Warnett was born June 22, 1942. It is with great sadness that we announce her passing on November 7, 2006. She was the wife and best friend to Bob Warnett her husband of 46 years. She was the mother to Virginia Goebel, Robbie Warnett, Gordie Warnett and Christian Warnett. She was grandmother to Amanda Warnett, Alyssa Warnett, Clayton Goebel, Krystal Goebel (who predeceased her), Dana Warnet and Cassidy Warnett. She was Predeceased by her parents Daniel and Virginia McLachlin, and uncle Donald Lockhart. Beaty was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She devoted herself to her family. Whenever anyone would drop in she always insisted on making him or her a meal and she always had something on hand to do this. She and Bob managed the Smokey Hollow Resort for 10 years and she even went out of her way for people who stayed there. It was not unusual for her to give guests coffee out of her own kitchen or make a pie or cake for them. Christmas was a big thing for Beaty. She never stopped buying gifts, she would have the perfect one for you and then she would see something else and you ended up with 5 or 6. They were always something you had been wanting. When her sister would drop by she was willing to drop everything and go off to Cottage Crafts at Clear Lake to see what new items had come in. Beaty made lovely Paper Tole pictures that many of us have to remember her by. After Beaty and Bob moved to Souris, Beaty got a lot of enjoyment out of attending her granddaughters sporting events and cheering them on. She also loved to go to Winnipeg where her two youngest grandchildren lived. She loved to play with them and just watch them playing. We will miss her sweet face and lovely personality which was a little naive, always finding the best in people and in many cases bringing out the best in them. She will be sadly missed by her husband Bob; daughter Ginny (Matt) Goebel; son Robbie (LeeAnne), son Gordie, and son Christian (Jessie). Her grandchildren Clayton, Amanda, Alyssa, Dana and Cassidy, as well as her sister Joan (Bob) Rodgers; brothers Jim (Julie) McLachlan, Roy (Lorraine) McLachlan, Ray (Shannon) McLachlan, Gord (Cathy) McLachlan. Her uncle Lawrence and aunt Norma Lockhart, aunt Kathleen Bridger as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews will also miss Beaty. She is gone but will not be forgotten, and as dawns another day, in our lonely hours of thinking, thoughts of her are always near. Past her suffering, past her pain, cease to weep, for tears are vain. She who suffered is at rest. Gone to heaven with the best. KOWALCHUK'S FUNERAL HOME 204-483-2167
