Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPROSPER WILLEMS Peacefully, with his family at his side, Pros passed away at St. Boniface Hospital on November 13, 2006. To remember him and mourn his loss, he leaves his wife of 61 years, Leona; his children, Judy, Laura, Bernice (David), Paula (Dan) and Paul (Marlene); his grandchildren, Maureen, Kevin, Christine (Fred), Diane, Lisa, Jennell, Laurel, Andreanna, Anthony and Jessalyn. He was predeceased by his parents Pol and Elodie; his sister Esther and his brother Elie. Pros was born in St. Boniface on April 17, 1920. After returning home from the Second World War, he married Leona Walleyn. They farmed from 1946 to 1981 first in St. Boniface, and then in the Dugald area. After retiring from farming, they moved to Windsor Park. Pros was a member of the Norwood Legion, Branch #43, a life-long member of the St. Sebastian Archery Club and the Belgian Club. The funeral mass to celebrate Pros' life will take place on Thursday, November 16 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Bernadette Roman Catholic Church, 820 Cottonwood Rd. Presider Fr. Kevin Bettens. Interment will follow in the Belgian Sacred Heart Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Boniface Hospital and Research Foundation, 409 Tache Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2H 2A6.
