Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALEX OGRODNIK Alex Ogrodnik passed away after a brief illness at the McCausland Hospital in Terrace Bay on November 1, 2006. Alex was born in Thalberg, Manitoba on October 13, 1932. Alex worked at the Kimberly Clark Pulp Mill in Terrace Bay for 37 years starting in 1956 and retiring in 1993. Alex loved gardening and working in his yard. He also loved fishing and photography as well as being a member of and attending St. John's Anglican Church in Schreiber. Alex liked visiting, playing cards and the Senior's functions at the McCausland Hospital. Alex was predeceased by his wife Edith in 1996; his father Steve in 1975 and his mother Nellie in 2002. Alex will be sadly missed by his sister Marge (Bill) Chryplywy and his brother Gordon. He is also survived by his nieces, Lori-Ann Ogrodnik, Agnes Lawson, Marion and Helen (Tom) Pelto, as well as his nephews, Peter and Andy Ogrodnik. Also his brother-in-law Don (Kay) Lawson and sisters-in-law, Alice, Vivian and Ruby and numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A Funeral Service was held for Alex on Friday, November 10, 2006 beginning at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Anglican Church in Schreiber, with interment of ashes following in Terrace Bay Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations to Northern Cancer, Tamarack House would be appreciated. Arrangements have been entrusted to the King Funeral Home in Schreiber.
