KENNY INGRAM 1939 - 2006 It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Kenny Ingram at home due to heart failure on November 13, 2006 at the age of 67 years. Kenny was a devoted husband to his wife Gloria for 39 years. Kenny is lovingly remembered by his wife Gloria; his brothers and sisters Agnes Morrison (Clayton), George (Irene), Bruce (Kay), Betty Townsend (Ken), Alan (Sonja), Doug (Jean), Margaret Hughesman (Ron); mother-in-law Bena Marko; sisters-in-law Marlene Marko and Elaine Buergel and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Adam and Jane Ann; brother Edward; and father-in-law Michael Marko. Kenny joined the East Kildonan Police/Fire Department on May 1, 1961 as a police officer then transferred to the fire department. He came to the Winnipeg Fire Department upon amalgamation as a first class fire fighter January 7, 1974; was promoted to lieutenant September 28, 1986; promoted to captain July 15, 1990; retired on civic pension May 1, 1994 with 33 years of service to the citizens of Winnipeg. As a sideline, Kenny had his own painting business with the same crew for over 30 years. Kenny grew up in Morse Place and attended Salisbury and East Kildonan schools. He played junior hockey with the Winnipeg Monarchs and baseball with Morse Place, Elmwood Giants and Transcona Atomics. He is a baseball team member in the Manitoba Hall of Fame and will be inducted into the Manitoba Hall of Fame as a family member with his two brothers Alan and Doug in 2007. Kenny coached AAA Hockey for many years. Honuorary pallbearers are Norman Rogoski, John Haasbeek, Lyle Wiebe, Tom Chernetz, Bobby Murray and Paul Belandiuk. A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 17, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at the Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, Winnipeg. Flowers are gratefully declined.
