ADINA ELMA HOFFMAN (ZACHARIAS) June 23, 1923 - November 15, 2006 After a lengthy illness, Adina passed away peacefully at the E.M. Crowe Memorial Hospital in Eriksdale, Manitoba on November 15, 2006. Adina was born, raised and went to school in the Edison district near Camper, MB. She spent the greater part of her life in the Camper and Ashern area of the Interlake. She was very active in community affairs, and served countless years on the boards of the former Manitoba Farmers Union, Camper Hall Committee, and the Camper New Horizons Club. Adina's greatest interests include music, gardening and writing. She, along with her husband Ted, provided the surrounding communities with entertainment and dance music for many years. Adina's interest in gardening precipitated the addition of a greenhouse to the family farm operation in 1965 - which they operated until their retirement in the mid 1990s. She was a regular contributor to local weekly newspapers. Predeceased by her husband Ted and daughter Karen, Adina is survived by her children, Robert (Wendy), Linda (Alan) Hoover, Ronald (Janice); grandchildren, Michelle (Kevin) Ferguson, Tracey (Chris) Wieringa, Dan and Brad Hoover, Laura, Russell and Shelby Hoffman; great-grandchildren, Trevor, Jason, Mason and Alex; sisters, Linda Kerbrat and Olga (George) Menard and brother William; sisters-in-law, Terry Highet and Lana Wilson; plus numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 18 at the Camper Community Hall with Pastor Nancy Walker officiating. Interment to follow at the Dog Lake Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Adina's memory to the E.M.
