ROBERT LEONARD SQUIRES On November 15, 2006 at the Victoria Hospital after a battle with Leukemia. Robert was born on September 17, 1930 in Winnipeg, MB. His early years were spent in Eriksdale and Lake Francis, MB until his family moved back to Winnipeg. To remember and sadly miss him and mourn his loss, he leaves his wife of 56 years, Denise (Gauthier), his children, Victoria (Gerard) Nault and Douglas (Leslie), his grandchildren Monique Nault and Jason Squires and step-grandson Cameron. Also surviving are his sister Mary Piche, brother Clifford, nieces Liz and Vivian and many more nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Robert C. and Ruth (Mark), daughter Linda (in infancy) and siblings Willard, Harry, Ruth, Lillian, Edward and Lois. Robert was a person who always thought and cared about someone else before himself. Dad recently said that his greatest accomplishment was his family. Robert was a good bowler and won many trophies during his long time at Garry Lanes. Cremation has taken place and according to Robert's wishes there will be no formal service.
