RITA JOHANNA SUSAN BERND On Friday, November 10, 2006, at the St. Boniface General Hospital, Rita died at the age of 52 years. Remaining to cherish her loss is husband Carl, daughter Erika, grandson Carl, mother Irma, sister Rosemary, brothers, Alex and Harry; friends, Maureen Blue, Kathy Howland, Jim and Pat McLean and all your wonderful colleagues on Labour and Delivery at Women's Hospital. I love you, I love you, I love you. Rita my darling, I am thankful that you are finally free of pain, of doubt and fear. I know that you are in a safe and loving place with our son Carl Jr. and granddaughter Chloe. For that I thank God for bringing you home to dwell in his house with them. But how can I go on without you? I am at such a loss. My heart breaks every minute, sadness and tears consume my days. I long to hear your beautiful voice, smell your sweet fragrance and feel your soft touch. Oh Rita my love, thank you for calling me your hero, thank you for honouring me with your companionship, thank you for loving me. I will walk the rest of this life's road alone, so until we hug and kiss once more, I love you, I love you, I love you. Dear Mom, thank you for being the woman, mother and the hero you were for me. You are so loved by so many people, more than you could imagine. And don't forget the Rome , he loves his mommy. We know that you are smiling down from Heaven on all of us. Love you Ma.
