Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTEKLA (TEENIE) RIPAK Peacefully, on Friday, November 17, 2006 with family by her side, Teenie passed away at age 96 years at Middlechurch Care Home. Teenie will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her daughters, Olga (Dmytro) Michalchuk, Mary (Harry) Nichiporik of Edmonton; grandchildren, Nadine (Chris) Peck, Alicia Michalchuk, Kevin (Dalayce) Nichiporik of Red Deer, Tania (Jacob) Pruden of Edmonton, Dan Ripak; great-grandchildren, Larissa and Andrew Peck, Spencer Pruden; daughter-in-law Sherry; sister Nell Doll of Prince George, BC; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husbands, Dmytro Prociuk in 1941 and Dmytro Ripak in 1997; son William in 2001; her parents, five sisters and two brothers. Teenie was born October 20, 1910 in Western Ukraine. In 1928 when her family immigrated to Canada, she settled in Winnipeg. She worked various jobs where she had the opportunity to learn the English language. In 1933 Teenie married Dmytro Prociuk and they were blessed with two daughters. After Dmytro's death, she married Dmytro Ripak in 1943 and was further blessed with their son. Teenie and Dmytro enjoyed 53 years together. Teenie was a hardworking and caring person. Although small in stature, she had a big heart and was always ready to give a helping hand. She loved gardening and her flowers. One of her greatest pleasures was spending warm, sunny days with her family at their cottage in Gimli. Teenie enjoyed her last 10 years in Middlechurch Care Home. Her family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff of B2 for their love, care and compassion. Prayers will be sung 7:00 p.m. Monday, November 20 at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St. Funeral service will be held 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 21 at Ukrainian Orthodox Church of All Saints, 1500 Day St., with Very Rev. J. Melnyk officiating. Interment to follow in All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Middlechurch Care Home or a charity of one's choice.
