Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryARTHUR ANDY PFEIFER August 6, 1915 November 17, 2006 It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Arthur Andy Pfeifer on November 17, 2006 at the Grace Hospital, at the age of 91 years. Art is survived by his sister Gertrude Dowling and numerous nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his sister, Rose Mintenko and by his brothers George, William and Rudy Pfeifer. Art was born in Winnipeg on August 6, 1915 and later raised on a farm in Ladywood, MB. In 1942, he joined the Canadian Armed Forces and served overseas during the Second World War, an accomplishment which he was very proud of. Upon returning to civilian life, Art took on a job as a civil servant, working at the Deer Lodge Hospital for 25 years. Closest to Uncle Art during the latter portion of his life were, his brother William, his nephew Ronald and good friend Audrey Moreau, who all made sure he was well cared for and kept him socially active. One of Art's favourite activities was to spend time at Winnipeg Beach with his brother Bill and family. He also enjoyed bowling, playing cards, car rides to the country and spending time with family and friends. Funeral service with a Legion service will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 21 at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy. No. 1 E. at Navin Road. Interment will follow in Green Acres Cemetery.
