KEVIN SPITZKE It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Kevin Spitzke at the age of 46. He is loved and will be deeply missed by his mother and father, Eric and Gail; sister Janet Enns (Roger); brother Derrick (Sharon); and brother Stuart (Laureen); his many aunts and uncles, especially Tanis and Hans Goretzki and Barry and Debbie Tuckett; his nieces, nephews, and cousins; and also by his special friends, Joy, Marco and David; as well as his many friends and co-workers at ICBC. Kevin was born and raised in Winnipeg, attended Murdoch Mackay High School and graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree. Kevin started his career in management with Domo gasoline and his work there led him to British Columbia, where he pioneered the company's expansion efforts. Kevin's career path took him next to ICBC, where he held several management positions over the last 18 years. Kevin was a tireless worker, who was well respected in the industry and cherished by his co-workers. Kevin had an overly generous heart. He was a kind and caring man who would reach out and share with others, never asking for a thing in return. Kevin had a great sense of humour and a love for animals, which was unfailing. Although he is no longer with us, his spirit will continue and his memories will sustain us forever as a family. A memorial service will be held for family and friends at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 401 Kildare Avenue West, Winnipeg, MB at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 24. In lieu of flowers as Kevin was a great animal lover, donations can be sent to the Winnipeg Humane Society.

  • I was working with him back in 1987 in Vancouver... I am so sad to read that he has quit this earth. Can anyone tell me how he managed to leave us behind so quickly? My condolences to the family members... - Posted by: Stephane Luce (Friend) on: Mar 04, 2014
