GLADYS BEATA GROWER (nee HOLTE) You bet I'm Norwegian. Uffda Mom passed peacefully at Home , Kildonan Personal Care Centre, Sunday, November 19, 2006. Mom was born March 12, 1909 in Ketchen, Saskatchewan, the eldest of eight children. You will be missed Bestemör, but never forgotten by daughter Gloria (Bob) Harborne; grandchildren, Shaylene (Mike) Sissons, Michael (Geraldine) Harborne and Russel Harborne (Debbie Bell); great-grandchildren, Lauren, Blake, Carrington, Justice, Jared and Sage. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank Grower and her seven siblings. Her legacy and gift in life was giving what she could to others. She lived her life in accordance with her unwavering belief and faith in God. This poem is at her request. When I must leave you for awhile, Please do not grieve and shed wild tears And hug your sorrow to you through the years, But start out bravely with a gallant smile, And for my sake, and in my name Live on and do all things the same. Feed not your loneliness on empty days But fill each waking hour in useful ways. Reach out your hand in comfort and cheer And I in turn will comfort you and hold you near. And never, never be afraid to die, For I am waiting for you in the sky. The family would like to thank all the staff at Kildonan Personal Care Centre, for their kindness and care given to Mom over the years.
