LUCIEN FIOLA Peacefully, following a lengthy illness it is will deep sadness that we announce the death of Lucien Fiola, aged 76, on Friday, November 17, 2006 at the St. Boniface General Hospital. Lucien will be lovingly remembered by his wife Antonia Fiola (Pelland) (nee Marion); children, Raymond Fiola (Rose-Anna), Nicole Simpson, Suzanne Fiola (Len), Madeleine Fiola (Joe), Rolande Fiola (Dave) and Jeannine Allard (Fred); stepchildren Gilles Pelland (Gloria), Suzanne Stewart (Jack), Pauline Webster (Arny), Monique Neuls (Randy) and Joanne Pelletier (John). Also left to mourn his passing are grandchildren, Dale, Tiffany and Dustin Fiola, Marie Simpson, Natalie Haslund (Nathan), Jacqueline Paradis (Mark), Raymond and Randy Chartrand, Rhéal and Katlynn Allard; stepgrandchildren, Rob and Michell Pelland, Denaline, Johnathon and Jeremie Webster (RickyLee), Christopher Neuls, Robin and David Pelletier, Anne and Daniel Stewart; great-grandchildren Austin and Tyson Haslund; stepgreat-grandchildren Joshua, Serena, Ethan, Alora Campbell and Jack Pelland. Lucien is also survived by brothers and sisters Theodore (Laurie), Roland (Georgette), Rose, Cecile (Thomas), Eva, Irene; numerous nieces and nephews; in-laws Chamberland, Pelland and Marion Families, Gerard Belisle, Adrienne Belisle and Ted Chartrand. He was predeceased by first wife Thérèse (nee Chamberland), son-in-law Laird Simpson, parents Elzear and Victorine Fiola, brothers and sister Victor, Stanislas, Adrien, Noel, Alice, Lucien (1 month old), and Alphonse (4 years old). Lucien was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Manitoba Metis Federation. A special thank you to the St. Boniface General Hospital staff on 6A and Fr. Roland Lanoie for their care and compassion. Funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 22, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, #1 Highway East at Navin Road. Interment of the urn will follow in Green Acres Cemetery. Following the interment a gathering of family and friends will be held in the Green Acres Heritage Room. Urn Bearers are Marie Simpson and Dale Fiola; Honorary Pallbearers are Natalie Haslund, Raymond Chartrand, Tiffany Fiola, Robin and Dave Pelletier.
