Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMICHAEL ROBERT SIDAK November 6, 1933 November 18, 2006 It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Michael after a short time at the Health Sciences Centre with his wife Darlene by his side. Michael was predeceased by his parents Anne and Fred and baby sister Helen. He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife Darlene; sons, Robert (Shannon) and Kelly (Bonnie); daughter Teresa (Chris); grandchildren, Jessica, Travis, Taylor, Karly, Jacob, Gracie and Parker; sisters, Liz Drost, Gerri (Jerry) Presley and niece Taryn. Mike was born in Winnipeg and grew up in the north end where he raised his own family and remained until his passing. He was a sheet metal worker employed at Advance Lighting for 21 years, many as foreman, then E.H. Price for 17, until he retired due to ill health. He had a great love for the outdoors, spending his time with his family camping and fishing, a tradition, which lives on with his children. He shared his love of hunting with his sons, which also carried on to his eldest grandson. He was very proud of this. In 1980 Mike's dreams of a cabin came true, built by himself and the hands of his family and friends. He was a parishioner at St. Joseph's Ukrainian Catholic Church since 1964. A brother Knight of Fr. Shyshkowich Council. He enjoyed working with the brother knights as long as he was able. Psalm 116 For you have delivered my soul from death My eyes from tears And my feet from falling I will walk before the Lord In the land of the living. Prayers will said on Tuesday, November 21 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 22 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 250 Jefferson Avenue with Rev. Fr. Raymond Lukie, C.Ss.R. as celebrant. Interment to follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mike's memory to the Kidney Foundation, 730 Taylor Avenue, Winnipeg, MB, R3M 2K8, phone 989-0802.
