Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROSALIE LILLIAN NICHOLLS It is with sadness yet with joy in the knowledge of the Salvation of the Lord Jesus that I announce the passing of Rosalie Nicholls on Monday, November 20, 2006 at Riverview Health Centre. Predeceased by her only son Gordon (Gordie); her husband Jack; sister Vi Hudson and her sweetheart sister Janet Styles, who predeceased her just two weeks ago. She is survived by her brother Art Hammond and extended family in British Columbia and Alberta, Vi's extended family in Winnipeg, British Columbia and California and Janet's extended family in British Columbia, as well as many other cousins. Rosalie will be especially missed by sister Tootsie (Helen) O'Connor and children, Pat Paddy (Sherry) Ryan and Lyndsey O'Connor; Debbie (Wade) Miller, Breanne Oades and Ken (Barb), Stephanie and Alexa O'Connor. Loie as she was affectionately called by the O'Connor's had a very special place within our family and was always there for us through good times and bad. Loie and Jack did so much to help us throughout the years and we are forever grateful. Rosalie and Jack after tragically losing their son Gordie, opened their home first to Greg Hammond then Pat and Ken O'Connor then Domenic (Nicky) Di-Domenicanantonio, all whom she cared for and looked after as her own. Rosalie certainly loved all her nieces and nephews very much but it can be said she had a soft spot for the boys. Ryan has held that special spot for the last 18 years. To all her doctors, nurses, health care professionals and home care workers who cared for Rosalie over the last few years, a big thank-you and God Bless. In her working years Rosalie worked for Eaton's mail order retiring when the mail-order closed. Rosalie was a faithful member of Calvary Temple attending church for many years until ill health prevented her from doing so. Many of her closest friends were from the church community. I know she would want me to extend a special thank-you to Pastor Barber and Pastor Bruce Martin for the ministry they provided to her. To Pastor Bruce Logan who so regularly brought scripture and friendship to her at home it meant so much to her. I (Paddy) especially cannot say enough about how much you did for me and my family. I know Sherry, Ryan and Lyndsey meant so much to you and we will miss you greatly. You were a second Mom to me and I count my blessings that I could be so lucky. My world will not be the same without you but my life is forever better for having had you in it and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. It has been a long and difficult journey for you Loie and it is time for you to have your rest. The Lord Jesus has brought you home to heaven. Rest Loie I love you Paddy Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 24 at 12:30 p.m. at Calvary Temple, 400 Hargrave St., Winnipeg with viewing one hour prior to service time. In accordance with Rosalie's wishes, cremation to follow with a private family interment. Flowers are gratefully declined but donations can be made to radio and T.V. ministry of Calvary Temple and Faith to Live By, 400 Hargrave St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 3A8.
