Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFIORINA AIELLO (nee MASI) August 10, 1944 - November 17, 2006 Peacefully and surrounded by family, our beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away at St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 62 years. Fiorina will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband of 43 years, Ralph; sons Joe (Alanna) and Tony (Leah); granddaughters Kara and Larisa; mother Maria Masi; sisters, Virginia (Agostino) Pallone, Loretta (Giuliano) Scarpino and Marina (Gabriele) DiNella; father-in-law Giuseppe Aiello; sister-in-law Caterina Masi and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her father Antonio Masi and mother-in-law Gaetania Aiello. Fiorina was born in Amato, Italy in 1944, and came to Canada in 1955. Family was always her greatest joy. She and Ralph raised their sons to share their strong sense of family. Over the years, the extended Aiello and Masi clans were together for many summer weekends at the beach, and noisy food-filled holiday celebrations. When her family grew to include daughters-in-law and then granddaughters, nothing could have made her happier. She showed her love for us with her generosity and devotion, her meticulously prepared meals, and with her strength and courage to fight cancer and stay with us a little longer. At the end of her battle, she was surrounded by a family that reflected all that love back to her. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at Seven Oaks Oncology and at St. Boniface Palliative Care for their kindness, support and compassion. Prayers will be said Wednesday, November 22 at 7:30 p.m. in the Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Ave. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, November 23 at 10:00 a.m. in the Holy Rosary Church with Fr. Sam Argenziano presiding. Entombment will follow in the Queen of Heaven Mausoleum located in the Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Ave. Pallbearers will be Dario, Adriano and Fabrizio DiNella, Tony and Carmine Scarpino, Joe Masi, James Torchia, and Greg Pallone. Honorary pallbearers will be her cherished granddaughters, Kara and Larisa, and her nieces, nephews and godchildren. Flowers are graciously declined. Donations may be made in Fiorina's memory to the Seven Oaks Oncology Department, 2300 McPhillips Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2V 3M3 or to the St. Boniface Palliative Care Unit at St. Boniface Hospital Research Foundation, 409 Tache Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2H 2A6.
